Spinning and weaving knitting all part of the long tradition of womens work. Why do people still do it? Its been ten months since Jack died and Sandra a tightly wound academic copes with grief by immersing herself in her work. When she meets Martha over an unconscious body on a footpath the two women strike up an unlikely friendship. Martha it turns out has also known grief but seems at ease with herself and want to help. Sandra invites Martha an artist and gifted knitter to help her put together a textiles exhibition but what begins as a professional collaboration turns into something more personal as the two womens lives become entangled in the most unexpected of ways. «
