This is probably one of the most accessible books I have read lately inrelation to SEN and Inclusion and I intend to make it an essential core textfor my inclusion module. It would be very accessible to students who arerelatively new to the theoretical aspects behind the idea or concept ofinclusion ESCalateComplex and diverse special educational needs and inclusion can be a difficultarea of study to approach for undergraduate students. Understanding the currentcontext of SEN and inclusion means getting to grips with an often perplexingmix of social political ideological educational and personal perspectives.This book explores and critically examines the field providing a detailedintroduction to the topic for students helping them to develop understandingwithout assuming any prior knowledge.Section one defines the concepts of SEN and disability and how the conceptshave been defined through ideological models that have developed over time.
