The adoption of Council Decision 2006/512/EC, amending the 1999 Decision on Comitology, is inspired by the White Paper on European governance. This White Paper mentions the principles of good governance as an instrument to improve the rules, processes and behavior that affect the way in which powers are exercised at the European level. The question is, to what extend are these principles ensured in the comitology procedures? In other words: ‘Does the comitology reform decision of 2006 guarantee the principles of good governance?’ «
