Alan Caley was far from being delighted to receive a phone call from his oldschool pal Chuck Brogan suggesting that the two of them should get togetherfor lunch and talk. It was quite some time since he had last seen Brogan and heremembered that the man had taken part in a gold robbery for which he had beensent to prison for a number of years. So now he was out and apparently lookingup old acquaintances. Or at least one old acquaintance. Caley felt inclined torefuse the invitation but Brogan was persuasive and hinted that the meetingmight turn out to be to Caleys advantage financially. And Caley could surelyuse some help in that respect since his business was going to down the drainand he was pushed for money.
